During the mythological age, two ancient gods guided by three crows happened to discover hot spring in Arima village. Later, Arima Hot Spring became known nationwide after Emperor Jomei stayed for 3 months in 631. Arima Hot Spring Resort continued to prosper as a therapeutic bath resort. Many historical persons such as the priests Gyoki, Ninsai and the warlord Taiko Hideyoshi are said to have stayed at Arima Hot Spring. You can enjoy three types of baths: an authentic Japanese-style bath 'Ichi no Yu', a western-style bath 'Ni no Yu', and a bath with remnants of Japan's good old days 'San no Yu'. Private Open-air Bath and Spa are also available.
